One Month Later

It's been a month since we started homeschooling and I'm so proud of my daughter every day. Not only is she excited to learn, but it turns out that she's a sponge for knowledge. She surprises me by sharing things that she knows that I didn't specifically teach her.

Red means stop. Yellow means wait. Green means go.

We use Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool as a basis for her lessons, and they often utilize Starfall. Keiralyn sometimes asks me to watch the videos and she likes to click and explore to see what she can find.

One thing I'm really enjoying is incorporating educational play into our homeschool. She uses busy boards and busy books - she's playing and having fun, but she's also learning!

She's excited for Halloween so we made a countdown chain, decorated cookies, and she dresses up daily. She asks for Halloween food so we creatively figure out ways to make her regular food "scary" for a three year old. Making faces on everything from toast to scrambled eggs seems to do the trick.

I haven't figured out a schedule yet, and I want to incorporate more into her schooling, but I'm pretty happy with our first month.
